Katie Barnes Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026 💗

We’re Going Pink This October! 💗

This October, we’re swapping our signature black and white for something a little different. PINK! 💗

But this isn’t about a new colour scheme. It’s about something much bigger.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and at Katie Barnes Tool Range, we’re coming together as a team and a community to raise awareness, raise money and make a difference.

Because some things are bigger than nails.

Why We’re Going Pink 💗

Did you know that around 1 in 7 women in the UK will develop breast cancer during their lifetime?

That’s a statistic that really makes you stop and think.

Think about your friends, family, colleagues and clients. Chances are, breast cancer has already touched someone you know.

Behind every statistic is a real person. Someone’s mum, daughter, sister, partner, friend or client.

And while we might be a nail tool brand, we’ve always believed that our industry is about far more than creating beautiful nails.

It’s about people, relationships, confidence and community.

As nail technicians, we spend hours talking to our clients. We celebrate their happiest moments, listen when life gets difficult and sometimes become the people they feel most comfortable opening up to.

We have an incredible community, and this October, we want to use that community to do something positive.

The KB Team Is Taking on 100 Miles! 👟

We’re not just wearing pink and calling it a day.

Throughout October, the Katie Barnes team is taking on a collective 100 mile challenge to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

That means getting moving, clocking up the miles and encouraging each other along the way.

Walking, running and getting those steps in. Every mile brings us closer to our goal.

And yes, we’ve willingly signed ourselves up for this.

But when you consider why we’re doing it, a few aching legs are a small price to pay.

We’ll be sharing our progress throughout the month and we’d love you to follow along, cheer us on and get involved.

Because 100 miles sounds like a lot, but together, big things become possible.

Your Donations Will Go Twice as Far 💕

We know how generous the nail industry can be, and we want to make your generosity go even further.

Throughout our October campaign, Katie Barnes Tool Range will match every customer donation made at checkout.

That means:

  • You donate £1. We add £1.
  • You donate £5. We add £5.
  • You donate £10. We add £10.

Whatever you choose to give, we’ll match it.

There is absolutely no pressure to donate, and no amount is too small.

If you’re already shopping for your favourite KB nail tools, brushes or e-file bits, you can simply choose to add a donation at checkout.

Together, we can make those contributions count for even more.

Why Breast Cancer Awareness Matters

Breast Cancer Awareness Month isn’t just about fundraising.

It’s also about encouraging conversations, recognising changes in our bodies and reminding people that checking their breasts is important.

Breast cancer can affect anyone, including men, and being familiar with what’s normal for your body can help you recognise when something changes.

Changes worth speaking to your GP about include:

  • A new lump or swelling in your breast, chest or armpit.
  • Changes to the size or shape of your breast.
  • Skin changes, such as dimpling or puckering.
  • Unusual nipple discharge.
  • A nipple that has recently turned inwards.
  • Persistent pain or other unusual changes.

Not every change means cancer, but anything new or unusual should be checked by a medical professional.

You can learn more about breast awareness, signs and symptoms through Breast Cancer Now.

Knowing your normal matters. Checking regularly matters. Speaking up when something changes matters.

And sometimes, a simple reminder from a friend or colleague is all it takes to encourage someone to make that appointment.

Nail Technicians, You Can Get Involved Too

One of the things we love most about the nail industry is the relationships we build.

For many clients, their nail appointment is more than a beauty treatment. It’s their time to talk, unwind and connect.

So why not use your salon space to help spread a little awareness this October?

You could create pink nail art, wear pink to work, share breast awareness information, organise a small salon fundraiser or simply start a conversation.

You don’t need a huge audience or an elaborate fundraising event to make a difference.

Even sharing a trusted breast awareness resource on your salon’s social media could encourage someone to check themselves.

And if you’re creating pink manicures for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’d absolutely love to see them!

Tag Katie Barnes Tool Range in your pink nail creations so we can celebrate and share the amazing work our nail community is doing.

Small Actions. Bigger Impact. 💗

We know we can’t change the world overnight.

But we can choose to do something.

We can encourage conversations.

We can help raise money.

We can remind people to check their breasts.

We can support the people around us.

And we can show just how much of a difference a community can make when it comes together.

Whether you donate at checkout, share our campaign, cheer on the team’s 100 mile challenge or simply remind someone you love to check themselves, you’re helping spread a message that matters.

Join Us in Going Pink This October! 💗

Throughout October, we’ll be sharing updates from our 100 mile challenge, raising awareness and matching customer donations made at checkout.

If you’re stocking up on your favourite KB tools, you’ll have the opportunity to make an optional contribution as part of our campaign.
